Hanne Grasmos book from 1998 is a true, historical gem in nordic larp circles. This is one of the first books which describe the Nordic Larp phenomenon, and it has been used by many young larpers as a “Larpmakers ABC”. Grasmo brings us ten Norwegian larps as seen from a participant's point of view and also introduces easy-to-understand larp theory and some “hows” and “whys” of larping.

The book is based on interview with larpers – both players and organizers also on sociological analysis that has been presented in simple language.

Levende Rollespil – Laiv not only contains tips on how to play larp, but also on how to organize larps. The register even includes a comprehensive list of every larp organized in Norway from 1986 to 1996, complete with descriptions of game worlds and organizer groups for each larp.

Grasmos book is a must-read if you're interesed in the historical development of Nordic Larp, and even today is an excellent guidebook for fantasy larp organizers who want to improve their skills.
